Hi Richard here from eBike Sussex, I started my Bosch eBike training in 2013! As with many things in life every day is a school day. I have found that the in-depth training given by Bosch eBike Systems has always given us the knowledge and tools we need to be the best at what we do. The training sessions are paid for events open to eBike dealers and repair businesses Internationally, and have been held at many different locations over the years.
This 2024 Bosch training is being held in Brighton, Sussex and is being led by Mark Haylett the UK’s longest standing Bosch eBike Systems Technical Representative and Trainer. He has a wealth of knowledge not only about Bosch Electric Bikes but also around the cycling industry as a whole. A great mind to be sharing the newest insights from Bosch. I often have a difficult question (or three!) for Mark and unsurprisingly he always knows the answer!
So what does the training consist of? Normally we are given a pack containing the Bosch eBike Systems most up to date Training Manual and some other goodies when we arrive (and access to the cutting edge Bosch e-bikes diagnostics system once training has completed.) In our experience the training days are comprehensive, normally beginning with an overview of the current market and a quick recap on the current Bosch eBike Systems offerings. Then a focus on newer innovations and at times we have managed to see some prototype/yet to be released electric bike technology from Bosch. Finally there is a hands on element where some diagnostics and physical manipulation of a few different Bosch e-bikes occurs. This gives those new to the course an opportunity to test their skills and use the new tools needed to service and repair a Bosch eBike.
In our experience the physical training is essential to ensuring our customers get the right level of service they deserve. That’s what has been keeping us coming back year after year. The course has helped us not only sell thousands of Bosch e-bikes but more importantly look after thousands more for servicing and warranty. In our industry customer service is key and it is essential to have the right tools and knowledge to look after those that have invested in buying a premium eBike from you.
